The Honest Marketer

Exeter Business School

In readiness for AACSB inspection, Kathryn edited the School's over-arching corporate strategy and sub-strategies (functional/departmental) to ensure there was greater alignment and synergy between objectives and actions.

"Kathryn assisted the development and copywriting of a number of College and Departmental strategies; her work and dedication to meet the brief and timescale was exemplary. Her attention to detail is excellent, she has been flexible and positive in her approach and I have been extremely impressed by both the quality and timeliness of her work. Kathryn clearly understands the HE context. Her research and understanding of the subject matter is impressive and well appreciated by senior staff within the College.”

Accreditation support

University of Exeter Business School - AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS & PRME

Kathryn has helped Exeter secure the highest levels of re-accreditation from the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and AMBA (Association of MBAs) and gain first-time Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. She has also prepared the School’s progress reports for EQUIS and in support of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).

“Being part of the School on a daily basis, we sometimes become too close to spot all of the unique aspects of what we do that stand  out to others. That’s where we have benefited greatly from the impartial and objective eye that Kathryn provides, guiding our submissions to ensure reflectivity while presenting the School in the best way possible; incorporating her knowledge of the sector to pull out our innovations, acting as a critical friend and using her marketing experience to make sure we promote our achievements effectively.”

Professor Gabriele Vosseberg, Associate Dean International & Development, University of Exeter Business School

University of Exeter / University of Exeter College of Medicine & Health - Athena SWAN
Kathryn supported the University of Exeter's Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity team to make its successful application for Silver Athena SWAN and, most recently, assisted the College of Medicine and Health apply for Silver re-accreditation.

“Kathryn helped us with our Athena SWAN Silver submission. She has a great skill with words: taking a document which was the work of multiple authors and smoothing it into a single tone of voice; reducing our word count without losing the essence of what we wanted to say. She helped to provide a fresh perspective on our narrative, with very insightful comments.”

Sarah Downing, Executive Officer, College of Medicine & Health
