The Honest Marketer

Past projects

American College, UK campus

Kathryn worked with a prestigious American College to assess the feasibility of developing a new online postgraduate master's course, to be targeted at UK employees. Her work involves an analysis of demand, competition and recommendations about how to position and promote the course to best attract the target market.

Campus Insight 2019

In April 2019, Kathryn took part in Campus Management's Campus Insight 2019 user conference in London, participating in a panel discussion on the implications of technology on the future of education marketing and presenting an interactive workshop on the risks posed to institutions in meeting consumer protection law requirements (see summary of group discussions).

University of Exeter Business School & College of Medicine & Health

In 2019, Kathryn supported the University of Exeter Business School's application for first-time accreditation with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), awarded in April 2019. She also edited and reviewed the College of Medicine and Health's application for Silver re-accreditation in March 2019.

Public research university

In 2018/19, Kathryn worked with a public research university to assess its compliance with consumer protection law and advertising standards. Conducting an in-depth audit and consultation across the institution, which encompassed central marketing, admissions and student recruitment, together with faculties and professional services, she was able to develop a detailed picture of the informal and formal processes used internally to collate, check and disseminate information. She provided a detailed risk matrix with recommended mitigation activities, subsequently presented to the senior executive team.
